THE PLAGUE
After La Peste by Albert Camus
Adapted by Neil Bartlett
CANADIAN PREMIERE
Where do we stand in the illusions we create?
What kind of space are we invited into?
Outliers Theatre Collective is a Toronto-based, independent theatre collective with a mandate to present and curate new, neglected, undiscovered, and forgotten theatrical works that have ‘flown under the radar’ of the theatre community — stuff that lies outside the norm and doesn’t easily fit categorization.
We aim to present works that challenge us, challenge our audiences, and create productions of the highest calibre. We are an ensemble of theatre artists that collectively strive to boost theatrical life in Toronto.
Outliers Theatre Collective was co-founded in 2024
by Tom McHale and Alessandro Simari.
Life Sucks. (2025) was our inaugural production.
Our next production is the Canadian premiere of The Plague, after La Peste by Albert Camus, adapted by Neil Bartlett.
